Requirements

High school, technical diploma or equivalent
Completion of a mechanical education
Hands-on experience through previous roles in mechanical settings
Open for latest technological advancements relevant to the field through training and workshops

Responsibilities

Inspects the workplace for potential safety hazards and ensures that all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
Ensures that contractors are trained, have the required permits and follow the safety rules
Develops and manages detailed maintenance schedules and work orders for repairs and routine and preventive maintenance tasks
Works closely with maintenance technicians, process / mechanical / electrical engineers, line or department leader and other departments to prioritize and coordinate maintenance activities.
Estimates the time and resources required for maintenance tasks.
Ensures the availability of necessary spare parts and tools.
Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment conditions, and maintenance costs using maintenance management software.
Tracks and improves the start up after the maintenance shuts.
Works with vendors and suppliers to procure and improve necessary equipment and parts
Trains maintenance staff in new procedures and protocols
