The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for providing support in all facets of maintenance operations, including work planning, implementing preventative and predictive maintenance programs, and setting/adjusting inventory levels based on operational needs. This role requires the ability to safely operate forklifts, which necessitates maintaining a NYS certification. Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings is crucial for success. The Maintenance Planner must communicate effectively with maintenance/engineering and other departments, be cost-conscious, and possess negotiating skills for evaluating necessary supplies and services. This position will coordinate the procurement of replacement parts, tools, and services. Excellent organizational, planning, and detail-oriented skills are necessary to coordinate, document, and track equipment repairs, modifications, and replacements. The role also involves assisting supervision in planning and coordinating shutdown and scheduled downtime work activities. This position will be required to work overtime and holidays as needed. Safety is paramount, and candidates must demonstrate the ability to uphold safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
