Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of three years' experience in a maintenance setting dealing with robots & welding
  • Must have prior experience in purchasing and dealing with outside vendors
  • Excellent math skills with the ability to apply to costs and analyze data.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Experience in charting, creating and formatting spreadsheets, as well as creating presentations.
  • Experienced in inventory management, understands lead times, min/max and re-order levels.
  • Experience in setting up and maintaining a Preventative Maintenance Program - eMaint is a plus.
  • Strong listening, communication (verbal and written), and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work with outside vendors and integrators.
  • Must be proficient in relevant computer software and program use.
  • CMS is a plus.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Must be able to interact effectively with other team members.
  • Must be able to appreciate and maintain proper level of confidentiality, using discretion and tact.
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts and weekday/weekend overtime with a minimum amount of supervision in order to meet customer requirements.
  • Must be willing to be crossed-trained in all skilled trade disciplines.
  • Familiarity with welded sheet metal assemblies.
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands for the position which include lifting up to 40 pounds of weight; frequent bending, stooping and stretching; standing and walking for prolonged periods of time.

  • Basic knowledge of robotics and automation is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Creates and maintains the preventative and predictive maintenance procedures on mechanical equipment as laid out by the manufacturers’ specifications.
  • Issues work orders and ensures parts are available.
  • Coordinates preventative and predictive maintenance with Maintenance and Production Planning.
  • Responsible for tracking maintenance related breakdown reports, OA, OEE, MTTR & MTBF.
  • Orders and tracks all equipment and facility spare parts in the MRO crib.
  • Works with vendors on delivery lead times.
  • Streamlines inventory and adjusts min/max levels to minimize on hand parts.
  • Tracks warranty parts with vendors.
  • Tracks maintenance spending for the department.
  • Supports equipment breakdowns.
  • Creates weekend work schedules.
  • Kits associated spare parts needed for work orders and creates crash carts for specialized PMs and breakdowns.
  • Establishes and maintains effective communication/interaction with all other departments, including but not limited to production, engineering, quality assurance, material and logistics, IT, and human resources support groups in order to achieve established targets.
  • Is responsible and accountable for meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Continuous Improvement (CI) objectives.
  • Participates in the development of department action plans and leads team to achieve strategic goals and continuous improvement objectives in alignment with CBAM’s business plan.
  • Promotes/recommends continuous improvement suggestions including environment, people, processes and equipment/machinery.
  • Assists in the development of procedures and methods which improve safety, quality, timing, cost and motivation.
  • Makes decisions in the scope of their responsibilities that are in the best interest of the department, CBAM and Cosma/Magna.
  • Ensures confidentiality in all matters pertaining to both business and employee relations.
  • Complies with, supports and models CBAM’s operational procedures/policies, Employee Handbook, and Magna’s Employee’s Charter, Corporate Constitution, and Operational Principles.
  • Complies with relevant Quality and Environmental programs (e.g., ISO 9001/IATF 16949, ISO 45001, ISO14001).
  • Complies with all Health and Safety programs in accordance with OSHA.
  • Follows and ensures Company procedures regarding safety rules and regulations are followed.
  • Keeps work area clean and tidy.
  • Other duties as required.
