About The Position

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager at our Fort Madison facility, you will plan, schedule, and coordinate all plant maintenance activities, including preventive, planned, and unplanned work. You will analyze planned change parts, recommend preventive maintenance improvements, and ensure functional standards are maintained across maintenance, accounting, and production. You will guide communication between production, engineering, and maintenance teams while ensuring accountability of external vendors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience with SAP or a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
  • Previous planner experience
  • At least one year of experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment

Nice To Haves

  • Background working with Allen‑Bradley programmable logic controllers (PLC) preferred
  • Experience in food manufacturing
  • Computer‑aided design (CAD) experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule all maintenance activities to support production and drumbeat operations
  • Lead pre‑ and post‑drumbeat meetings and manage all drumbeat activities
  • Ensure parts inventory supports production needs while maintaining the lowest possible inventory levels
  • Process and prioritize work orders and determine the most effective completion approach
  • Create and maintain equipment numbers, tasks, and task numbers
  • Add parts to preventive maintenance tasks
  • Verify accurate tagging and notifications within maintenance systems
  • Support breakdown analysis review activities
  • Requisition parts and materials for work order packages and non‑stocked items
  • Review work order backlog and rework to identify root causes and recommend improvements
  • Identify and support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives across the department and plant
  • Collaborate with other planners to update preventive maintenance programs based on hours, functionality, and recommendations
  • Provide direct oversight of assigned teams, administer discipline, and ensure consistent application of policies and procedures
  • Provide supervisory coverage during absences, including off‑shift and weekend coverage
