About The Position

The Mobile Maintenance Planner role offers the opportunity to develop and communicate plans for the maintenance of underground mobile equipment in accordance with weekly work schedules, to meet the needs of the operation. The role is responsible for ensuring that the plans are adequately resourced and aligned to the corresponding planning window. This role is to recruit for a vacancy. The roster will be 5 days on and 2 days off / 4 days on and 3 days off – 9.5 hour shifts and is a local residential role. We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth. The compensation range for this role is $95,000 to $125,000 CAD.

Requirements

Technical/Trades Certificate or distinct proficiency in the Maintenance/Work Management Planning area.
Ability to read and comprehend technical language, operations manuals and drawings.
Solid understanding of preventative maintenance with mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Experience in maintenance, preferably in the mining industry.
Proficient in Microsoft suite of products.
Ability to arrange, coordinate and lead maintenance plan review meetings.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship building at all levels.
Strong attention to detail.

Knowledge of budget process beneficial.

Responsibilities

Coordinate site visits by specialized contractors and engineers.
Ensure accurate maintenance records are maintained on major components/equipment.
Issue long and short-range plans in conjunction with operations team.
Coordinate amongst multiple departments for larger repairs or outages.
Assist with long-term planning to help verify critical equipment has spare material lists properly encoded in the Pronto maintenance management system.
Identify and review inventory levels of critical spare parts.
Implement and maintain a continuous improvement process to minimize equipment failures and improve equipment reliability.
Liaise with technical experts on equipment as required.
Maintain data in conjunction with outside engineering/technical firms and keep abreast of regulatory tests.
Maintain relationships with other departments within RLGM and with equipment manufacturer representatives.
Prepare, review and continuously improve job plans.
Provide support for projects and major shutdowns.
Support the engineering department and supply advice in the selection process of new assets, based on reliability, maintainability and cost of ownership considerations.
Manage OEM or similar bulletins for improvements and redesign.
Review feedback from PMs and other sources and plan future repairs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
