About The Position

The Maintenance Planner II is responsible for tracking and coordinating parts needed for maintenance utilizing the maintenance system and Oracle. Also functions as a receiver. This role will be at the SunOpta Plant in Omak, WA. The shift is a day shift, 6 am to 2:30 pm, M-F. The pay rate is $37.25 / hour.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Prior maintenance-related experience.
  • 2+ years' experience in purchasing/receiving parts in a manufacturing environment.
  • ERP experience.
  • MS Excel skills, plus a solid working knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of business systems.
  • High attention to detail and strong follow-up skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to work cross functionally with various internal departments, stakeholders and supplier partners is key.
  • Must be able to effectively manage information and communicate effectively internally and externally.
  • Must be able to effectively purchase 140+ unique materials.

Responsibilities

  • Works with procurement to support facility buyer.
  • Working with maintenance staff on reconciling work orders with part numbers.
  • Administration and utilization / Receive in MVP
  • Stocks parts on shelves according to indexing system.
  • Records and maintains control of all spare parts inventory items purchased.
  • Reconciles the inventory.
  • Receives UPS and distributes packages, as necessary.
  • Sends out packages as necessary via UPS or USPS.
  • Receives incoming parts, supplies into the inventory, and distributes them, as necessary.
  • Secures supplies or parts as needed in the local area.
  • Completes weekly, monthly, and quarterly inventories / cycle counting.
  • Maintenance of all electronic records and ensures accuracy of system.
  • Accounts for new inventory in the system.
  • Ensures compliance with all established internal control procedures.
  • Follow company GMP’s (Good manufacturing practices) and all other quality programs.
  • Responsible for ensuring the work area is clean and organized.
  • Strictly adhering to all safety policies.
  • Wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when required.
  • Commitment to ensuring that the products produced meet all food safety and quality requirements.
  • All other duties, as assigned.
