About The Position

The Maintenance Planner II is responsible for tracking and coordinating parts needed for maintenance utilizing the maintenance system and Oracle. This role also functions as a receiver, working with procurement to support the facility buyer and maintenance staff on reconciling work orders with part numbers. The position involves administration and utilization of MVP, stocking parts on shelves according to an indexing system, and maintaining control of all spare parts inventory items purchased. Responsibilities include reconciling inventory, receiving and distributing UPS packages, sending out packages via UPS or USPS, receiving and distributing incoming parts and supplies into inventory, and securing supplies or parts as needed in the local area. The role also requires completing weekly, monthly, and quarterly inventories/cycle counting, maintaining all electronic records for accuracy, accounting for new inventory in the system, and ensuring compliance with established internal control procedures. Adherence to company GMP’s (Good manufacturing practices) and all other quality programs is essential. The individual must ensure the work area is clean and organized, strictly adhere to all safety policies, and wear required PPE. A commitment to ensuring that the products produced meet all food safety and quality requirements is expected. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Prior maintenance-related experience.
  • 2+ years' experience in purchasing/receiving parts in a manufacturing environment.
  • ERP experience.
  • MS Excel skills.
  • Solid working knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of business systems.
  • High attention to detail and strong follow-up skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross functionally with various internal departments, stakeholders and supplier partners.
  • Ability to effectively manage information and communicate effectively internally and externally.
  • Ability to effectively purchase 140+ unique materials.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
