About The Position

The purpose of this position is to improve equipment uptime by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through the detailed planning and coordination of labor, parts, material, and equipment availability. The ideal candidate for this position is well-organized and has a passion for maintenance planning.

Requirements

• 4-year degree in engineering, technology, management, or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of experience in a technical capacity
• Experience with world-class manufacturing practices (TPM, 5S, Lean, etc.)
• Well-developed project management skills

Responsibilities

• Balances priorities, resources, material, and equipment availability to develop department and individual work schedules
• Collaborates cross-functionally to prioritize maintenance work and ensuring deadlines are met
• Works cross-functionally to ensure work orders are executed properly and equipment is production ready
• Generates reports on KPIs related to preventative maintenance activities and planned work
• Audits the execution and accuracy of planned work
• Generates detailed daily and shutdown maintenance plans for assigned maintenance team
• Participates in the training of technicians
• Assists engineering in the creation of predictive maintenance tools and systems
• Collaborates with internal and external resources to plan activities for scheduled shutdowns
• Independently communicates with business partners to resolve technical issues and negotiate items such as priorities and completion deadlines
• For each asset, analyzes total cost of ownership – parts, labor, and equipment availability
• Evaluates work orders to determine the necessary parts, tools, and time required to successfully execute the work request
• Trains employees on how to use the CMMS
