About The Position

The Maintenance Person I is assigned to the Maintenance and Grounds Department and reports directly to the Maintenance and Grounds Supervisor. Under the supervisor’s direction, the employee performs a variety of skilled work repairing district buildings, facilities, grounds, and equipment to help provide a safe and orderly environment for students and staff. The employee also performs other related work as directed.

The employer operates 18 school sites, each with an individual focus, and serves approximately 12,000 students.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in a general maintenance position in a large facility or school district.
• At least one year of experience in a specific building trade.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid California driver's license.
• DMV printout showing no Vehicle Code moving violations within the last 12 months.
