About The Position

The Maintenance Parts Assistant is responsible for managing MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) parts, including creating new locations, entering part details into the eMaint system, and interfacing with cataloging engineers. This role involves implementing and enforcing the parts ordering process, ordering and restocking the parts room, maintaining an organized inventory, and ensuring parts are easily locatable. The position requires regular verbal and face-to-face interaction with others and supporting all departments as needed. The employee will be expected to perform duties that may involve carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds, working in hot environments, and climbing, standing, stooping, bending, stretching, squatting, and working in tiring positions. Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a good record.
  • Knowledge of eMaint CMMS software.
  • Ability to read and interpret typewritten print and spare part manuals.
  • Ability to use a computer with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to drive a forklift and scissor lift for receiving and putting away parts.
  • Strong work ethic with little supervision.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in parts management.
  • Industrial Maintenance parts familiarity.
  • May be required to carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Required to work in hot environments.
  • Required to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, squat and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
  • Frequently lifts parts and equipment up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a specialized training school is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain MRO Purchasers' responsibilities in their absence.
  • Create new locations for new spare parts when needed.
  • Enter all parts in the eMaint system with proper locations, manufacturers & supplier part numbers, descriptions, and tie to related assets.
  • Interface with cataloging engineers regarding the parts catalog and technical specifications of parts.
  • Implement, uphold, and hold others accountable to the parts ordering process.
  • Order/Restock the parts room, keep organized, and keep a running inventory, which will allow all members to easily locate parts as needed.
  • Support all departments as needed.
