This role is for a Maintenance Operator who will be a member of a rotating shift, working under the direction of a Plant Supervisor. The operator will be responsible for performing operating functions including monitoring and operating power plant equipment, understanding power plant systems, starting and stopping equipment, isolating and safety tagging equipment for maintenance activities, and monitoring water chemistry. The position also involves performing routine operator rounds and lubricating plant rotating equipment. The operator must be familiar with plant environmental procedures and ensure units operate within specifications, while maintaining a high level of Safety, Reliability, Efficiency, and cost. The role includes working through an Operational Skills Development Plan to gain specific knowledge of plant equipment and progress through Maintenance Operator levels up to Operations Technician, Plant Technician (Instrumentation, Controls and Electrical Skills), or Plant Technician (Mechanical Skills).
