About The Position

Oversees and manages the productivity of the area of responsibility by preparing, reviewing, and/or analyzing business reports, communicating goals, and managing staffing, scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads in order to achieve facility goals. Identifies associate, customer, and/or supplier concerns and determines corrective action to take or makes recommendations in order to resolve. Ensures maintenance department daily operations are performed properly by monitoring and driving department performance related to maintaining warehouse equipment (e.g., material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, electrical systems, air compressors, general building repairs) and monitoring and ensuring associate compliance with state and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, Hazardous Waste, NFPA, Storm Water, DOT) relating to maintenance operations. Manages associates and leaders in the area of responsibility by giving direction, monitoring performance, and providing feedback; identifying training and development needs and providing opportunities for learning and growth; teaching, supporting, and modeling Logistics and company policies and procedures; and participating in the hiring, promotion, coaching, teaching, and evaluation of associates, leaders, and managers. Drives the business plan for the area of responsibility to achieve facility goals (e.g., production, quality, safety) by implementing operational improvements, monitoring and tracking expenses and capital expenditures compared to budget, monitoring asset utilization, and developing, distributing, and/or maintaining procedures and supporting documentation. Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, identifying and communicating goals and objectives, building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results, identifying and addressing improvement opportunities, and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy, and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.
