About The Position

Performance Foodservice is a broadline food distributor serving local restaurants, hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries. The Night Maintenance Mechanic maintains equipment in warehouses and buildings to help ensure associate safety and that equipment meets industry standards and operates efficiently. The role performs repairs, adjustments, inspections, and ongoing maintenance of facilities, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment on company premises. The schedule is 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., Sunday night through Thursday night.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of maintenance and repair experience or experience in a related area.
• Mechanical experience with electric pallet jacks and forklifts, or in a related area.
• Pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of maintenance and repair experience or experience in a related area.
• OSHA forklift operator certificate.
• HVAC certification.
• Ammonia certification.

Responsibilities

• Obtain the work schedule and daily production paperwork and prepare for operations.
• Perform daily safety checks.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and installations on various equipment according to applicable processes and standards.
• Maintain, replace, build, adjust, and modify facilities, buildings, and grounds on a set schedule and in emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Perform general housekeeping and keep the maintenance area orderly and clean.
• Secure equipment at the end of the shift and complete necessary reports and paperwork.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
