About The Position

ABM is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Mechanic Technician to support operations at the Honda manufacturing facility in Lincoln, Alabama. The role maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs facility systems and equipment to support safe, efficient, and continuous operations in a fast-paced industrial environment. The pay rate is $28.00–$32.00 per hour; specific offers vary based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and market alignment. The schedule is 6:00 AM–6:00 PM CST on a 2-2-3 rotation. ABM describes this as a good job for someone entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education, and encourages veterans and candidates with military experience to apply.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong mechanical aptitude and experience troubleshooting equipment.
Basic knowledge of electrical systems.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Comfort working in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying conditions, including heights and confined spaces.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of industrial or facilities maintenance experience.
Experience with HVAC systems.
480V experience.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on facility systems, including mechanical, HVAC, and basic electrical components.
Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues to minimize downtime.
Maintain and repair pumps, motors, conveyors, compressors, and other industrial equipment.
Support building systems, including plumbing, lighting, and general infrastructure.
Complete work orders and document maintenance activities in CMMS systems.
Follow safety protocols, OSHA standards, and company policies.
Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure production uptime.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
