The Maintenance Mechanic I–IV - Mobility reports to the Equipment Maintenance Foreman and performs maintenance and repair on mobility buses, paratransit vans, specialty vehicles, automobiles, and light equipment. Responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components. The position also prepares new vehicles/buses for service by reviewing specifications and installing specialized equipment. The role provides responsive customer service, including on-site repairs, after-hours support, and special service requests. It includes conducting required inspections, maintaining compliance documentation, and updating warranty and service records. Requires a rotational on call shift, including weekends, holidays, evenings, or extended hours based on operational needs. Work Schedule is: 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday – Friday with occasional weekend rotations and on-call responsibility. $500 reimbursement for tool expenditures after 12 months.
