About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic troubleshoots, repairs, installs, and maintains manufacturing equipment to keep production operating safely and reliably. The role uses multi-craft maintenance skills to support equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and safety. Hands-on and classroom on-the-job training is provided. This position is based in Beloit, Wisconsin, and works Tuesday through Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The workplace is fast-paced and hands-on, with employees on the go for most of the day and moving product throughout the shift. The work environment may include extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous or loud equipment, and slippery surfaces.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be able and willing to work weekends and holidays.
Ability to lift 15 to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, with or without accommodation.
Ability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Willingness and ability to work in an environment with extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous or loud equipment, and slippery surfaces.

Nice To Haves

Deep understanding of high-voltage wiring, including 480V three-phase motors.
Multi-craft maintenance and repair experience, such as performing interrelated repairs on electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and install pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, and pumps.
Diagnose and repair AC/DC electrical systems using schematics and electrical testing equipment.
Use preventative maintenance systems and work order tracking to support equipment reliability.
Respond to maintenance calls, inspect machines, identify needed repairs, and take corrective action.
Apply multi-craft maintenance skills to help maximize equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and safety.
