About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic troubleshoots, repairs, installs, and maintains manufacturing equipment to keep production running safely and reliably. The role uses multi-craft maintenance skills to support equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and safety, and includes on-the-job hands-on and classroom training. This is a full-time position in Lynchburg, Virginia, scheduled Sunday through Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The work is fast-paced and hands-on, with employees on the go for most of the day and moving product during the shift. The environment may include extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous or loud equipment, and slippery surfaces. The position involves lifting, bending, and other physical activity.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Work weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Deep understanding of high-voltage wiring, including 480V 3-phase motors.
Multi-craft maintenance and repair experience, such as performing interrelated electrical and mechanical repairs.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and install pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, and pumps.
Diagnose and repair AC/DC electrical systems using schematics and electrical testing equipment.
Use preventative maintenance systems and work order tracking to support equipment reliability.
Respond to maintenance calls, inspect machines, identify needed repairs, and take corrective action.
Apply multi-craft maintenance skills to maximize equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and safety.
