About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic troubleshoots, repairs, installs, and maintains manufacturing equipment to keep production running safely and reliably. The role uses multi-craft maintenance skills to maximize equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and safety. Hands-on and classroom on-the-job training is provided. The workplace is fast-paced and hands-on, with activity throughout most of the day, including lifting, bending, and moving product during the shift. The position is located in Beloit, Wisconsin. The scheduled work period runs from Saturday night to Thursday morning, with shifts from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Pay is $39.02 per hour.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be able and willing to work weekends and holidays.
Must be able to lift 15 to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, with or without accommodation.
Must be able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be willing and able to work in extreme temperatures, humidity, and environments with hazardous or loud equipment and slippery surfaces.

Nice To Haves

Deep understanding of high-voltage wiring, including 480V three-phase motors.
Multi-craft maintenance and repair experience, such as performing related repairs on electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and install pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, and pumps.
Diagnose and repair AC/DC electrical systems using schematics and electrical testing equipment.
Use preventative maintenance systems and work order tracking to support equipment reliability.
Respond to maintenance calls, inspect machines, identify needed repairs, and take corrective action.
Apply multi-craft maintenance skills to help maximize equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and safety.
