Requirements

Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
Electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
Welding and fabrication skills.
Ability to maintain equipment parts and supplies inventories.
Ability to prepare maintenance reports.
Proficiency in using computers for data collection, record keeping, and analysis.
Ability to read, understand, and follow equipment manufacturer’s drawings and specifications.
Ability to disassemble and reassemble machines according to manufacturers’ specifications.
Ability to use and understand electrical schematics and drawings.
Ability to troubleshoot, repair or replace VFD’s and PLC’s.
Ability to perform general facilities maintenance and upkeep.
Compliance with all safety regulations/procedures.
Ability to maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Responsibilities

Ensures operation of machinery and plant facilities by completing preventative maintenance requirements on production machines, motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, and all auxiliary plant systems/facilities.
Mechanical troubleshooting and repair to get the lines running efficiently and in a timely matter.
Electrical Troubleshooting and repair to keep equipment and facility up to code.
Performs welding and fabrication tasks.
Maintains equipment parts and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment parts and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends to reduce machine down time and maintenance costs.
Use computers for data collection, record keeping, and analysis.
Continually seeks to improve processes and procedures to reduce downtime, improve machine efficiency and quality.
Read, understand, and follow equipment manufacturer’s drawings and specifications.
Disassemble and reassemble machines according to manufacturers’ specifications.
Able to use and understand electrical schematics and drawings.
Able to troubleshoot, repair or replace VFD’s and PLC’s.
Performs general facilities maintenance and upkeep throughout the facility.
Comply with all safety regulations/procedures and maintains a clean and orderly work area.
