Join our friendly team as a Maintenance Mechanic in the dynamic warehousing industry. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that all equipment and machinery are running properly. You will be solving problems, repairing equipment, and perform preventative maintenance on a variety of systems and equipment within our warehouses. Whether it’s helping to keep our conveyor systems running or ensuring that our climate control systems function flawlessly. You'll work closely with a supportive team that values collaboration and communication. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in mechanics is a plus.
- Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems - such as, conveyor systems and components, Shanklin wrappers, pallet stretch wrappers
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, stoop, bend, and twist throughout an 8 to 10 hours shift.
- Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment (if it's hot out, it's hot inside...)
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of warehouse equipment and machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.
- Respond swiftly to maintenance requests from team members and management.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance processes and equipment performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
