About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a PRN (as needed) Maintenance Mechanic to cover their Lakeway Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital for on-call and weekend hours. This role is responsible for performing general mechanical and preventive tasks, including inspecting, servicing, drywall repair, painting, and overhauling physical plant equipment. Duties are performed with a focus on patient and employee safety, and the role contributes to enhancing the patient/employee experience by maintaining and improving the environment.

Requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance, repair, and safety procedures required.
• Current and valid state Driver License required.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Trade or vocational school background preferred.
• 10 years in facility maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs general mechanical and preventive tasks.
• Inspects, services, dry wall repair, painting, and overhauls physical plant equipment as directed.
• Ensures duties are performed in relation to patient and employee safety.
• Enhances the patient/employee experience by maintaining and improving the environment.
