About The Position

JBS is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to help ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of high-speed production equipment. The role involves maintaining and repairing manufacturing and packaging equipment, troubleshooting equipment issues, performing welding as needed, and supporting safe plant operations and compliance with federal, state, and local environmental requirements. The position requires evening or night shift work in areas that may experience extreme heat and cold.

Requirements

Pass a mechanical knowledge test.
Ability to communicate in English.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to climb ladders, lift heavy objects, and work with hand tools, power tools, and shop machinery.
Ability to work in areas with extreme heat and cold.
Ability to learn quickly, make sound decisions, and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong teamwork skills and willingness to perform a variety of tasks.
Pass a drug test and background check.

Nice To Haves

Two to three years of industrial mechanic experience in a food industry environment.
Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair high-speed manufacturing and packaging equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, cylinders, case formers, labeling equipment, fillers, and conveyors.
Perform stainless steel, MIG, and TIG welding tasks as needed.
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues on production equipment.
Perform labeling and tagging of systems and/or checks for verifications.
Support plant equipment and help maintain a safe plant that meets federal, state, and local environmental requirements.
