About The Position

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. These General Mechanic positions could work any department in Harvest or Processing of this beef processing facility. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling and reaching are required in all areas and must be able to climb up/down stairs and ladders. Lifting up to 100 pounds is required. These positions work in cold, damp or hot and humid environments (30 degrees to 105 degrees). Must be mechanically inclined.

Requirements

Mechanically inclined
6 months experience of mechanic work in the work history section of application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program
Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
Willing and able to work in cold, damp or hot and humid environments (30 degrees to 105 degrees)
Willing and able to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, reach, and climb up/down stairs and ladders
Able to lift up to 100 pounds
