About The Position
Stefanini Group is hiring a Harvest Processing Technician in Seward, NE. This is a temporary, entry-level position supporting the Nebraska soybean breeding program. Most activities are performed with a team of technicians under the supervision of CLIENT full-time employees. The role involves both outdoor and indoor work in variable conditions, with potential exposure to sun, heat, dust, and insects. There is no laboratory component to this role. The hiring manager is flexible with start and end dates, but the bulk of the work will be in October and November.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull 50 lbs.
- Basic computing skills in order to use Microsoft Office applications.
Nice To Haves
- Agronomy, horticulture, biology, and/or crop experience preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Harvest preparation.
- Data collection using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Hand harvest of soybean.
- Machine and single head threshing.
- Seed processing.
- Seed inventory data collection and entry in Microsoft Word.
