About The Position

Pacific Cheese is seeking a part-time Maintenance Mechanic to help ensure the smooth operation of its cheese production lines. The role focuses primarily on timely setup of cheese-cutting equipment and adjusting production equipment for the products being run. The schedule is Saturdays from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Mondays with a 5:00 a.m. start; the company is open to changing the schedule. Starting pay is $25.00 per hour. The position also involves troubleshooting and repairing minor breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, and maintaining company buildings and facilities. The mechanic must understand equipment operation and adjustments, use shop and hand tools safely, and have an understanding of mechanical and light electrical equipment operation. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Mechanical aptitude and a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Basic understanding of production line equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Understanding of mechanical and light electrical operation of equipment.
Ability to safely use shop and hand tools.
Must complete a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

Adjust baggers, scales, cheese cutters, labelers, sealers, and other manufacturing equipment for the products being run.
Troubleshoot and repair minor equipment breakdowns.
Perform preventive maintenance.
Maintain company buildings and facilities.
Understand equipment operation and how to adjust equipment.
Use shop and hand tools safely.
Perform other duties as assigned.
