About The Position

Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment, including motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, fans, and air-conditioning equipment. Examines mechanical equipment to diagnose problems, disassembles machines, and repairs or replaces broken parts. Adjusts functional parts as needed, cleans and lubricates parts, orders and requisitions replacement parts and equipment, and inspects completed repairs. Performs work in accordance with established safety procedures. The position requires driving a company vehicle and meeting the requirements of the UF Health Central Florida Vehicle Policy.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Valid driver's license; must meet the requirements of the UF Health Central Florida Vehicle Policy to drive a company vehicle.

Nice To Haves

• Certifications in HVAC or electrical and construction preferred.
• One year in general maintenance preferred.
