About The Position

Crothall Healthcare is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic to perform a variety of maintenance duties at UK HealthCare. The position is on the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Duties include maintaining building systems and equipment, troubleshooting and repairing issues, completing preventive maintenance, conducting inspections, and coordinating specialized work with vendors and contractors.

Requirements

Three to five years of related experience as a maintenance worker or technician is preferred.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to follow up on maintenance tasks.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
Experience with Building Automation Systems.

Three to five years of related experience as a maintenance worker or technician.
Experience with computerized work order systems.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot equipment; replace plumbing fixtures; rod drains and pipes; identify and stop leaks; and rebuild flush valves.
Supervise and adjust the building automation system to support patient and staff comfort.
Test and inspect generators; replace light fixtures and bulbs and ceiling tiles; and respond to general building issues.
Use drawings, wiring diagrams, and operations and maintenance manuals to troubleshoot, diagnose, and make repairs.
Coordinate specialized work with vendors and contractors.
Perform preventive maintenance on emergency power systems, emergency lighting, ice machines and refrigerators, HVAC equipment, and other assigned building systems.
Conduct building and mechanical-room inspections in accordance with the maintenance program.
