About The Position

Temp To Full-Time Maintenance Mechanic Location: Elkton, MD Pay: $25.00 Per Hour Based on Experience Duration: Our client in Elkton, MD is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join their production warehouse! This is a full-time temp-to-hire position starting at $25 an hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or technical certification (mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance).
3+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical wiring, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Proficiency with safety practices, especially Lockout/Tagout .
Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints.

Nice To Haves

CMMS experience preferred.
Excellent troubleshooting skills; able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repair on thermoforming machines, auxiliary systems, and facility equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
Install, align, and commission new machinery and support equipment.
Maintain accurate maintenance and repair documentation.
Respond to emergency equipment failures to reduce downtime.
Work with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to improve equipment reliability.
Conduct basic fabrication, machining, and welding for part repair or modification.
Monitor equipment condition and recommend efficiency and reliability improvements.
Follow OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout and PPE.
Assist with spare parts inventory and maintenance supplies.
Participate in maintenance planning, reliability analysis, and root-cause investigations.
