About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is responsible for keeping records on building maintenance and construction projects, scheduling routine and emergency maintenance, and performing repairs, maintenance, and cleaning at each facility. This role also assists with moving supplies and materials as needed for events and other projects. This position is based out of the main office with travel to each facility, requires frequent travel and use of a personal vehicle, and may experience stressful work environments due to fluctuating activities and work levels. This position is classified as non-exempt and is hourly.

Requirements

  • Above average verbal and written communication skills.
  • Frequent travel and use of a personal vehicle.
  • AHCA Level 2 Fingerprint screening for eligibility through the AHCA Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse (for most positions).

Nice To Haves

  • Maintenance and repair of the mechanical systems at each of the facilities.
  • Supervision of the Landscaping, Tree Trimming, wells and irrigation systems.
  • Update changes as they occur to the maintenance schedule at each facility.

  • Maintenance of all signage at every facility.
  • General Cleaning and Maintenance at each facility as needed or requested.
  • Building Safety inspections at each facility.
  • Responsible for keeping the monthly inspection reports logged and the repairs that are needed scheduled.
  • Troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues.
  • Replacing or installing the proper lighting supplies to meet the safety needs of each facility.
  • Keeping inventory records on lighting and ballast replacements at every facility.
  • Inspection of the Fire Extinguishers, Exit Lighting, Fire Alarm Systems, and Fire Sprinkler Systems at each of the facilities.
  • Assist with fire drills at all locations.
  • Inspect and repair security systems as needed.
  • Reset passwords as needed.
  • Participate in the yearly inspection with the police or sheriff’s departments to review the safety of each of our facilities.
  • Assist with the moving and storing of the Holiday and Event Decorations – moving boxes out to facilities before and after the events.
  • Responsible for the Cubical maintenance and reconfiguration projects.
  • Assisting the Philanthropy Department with fundraising events.
  • Responsible for purchasing supplies, setting up rental equipment (tents, tables, chairs), moving supplies and materials to and from event sites.
  • Assist with the delivery and setup for the event.
