About The Position

Pacific Coast Producers (PCP), a growing agricultural cooperative with food production facilities across the West Coast, is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at our Lodi Plant in Lodi, CA. Pay Rate: $40.00 per hour. This is a full-time, on-site role (40 hours per week), with weekend and overtime hours required as needed. Requirements

  • Available to work all shifts, including night shift (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM), and weekends as needed.
  • Reliable and able to maintain excellent attendance.
  • Significant (5+ years) relevant industrial experience.
  • Committed to safety and food safety, including use of appropriate PPE.
  • Must possess and use personal hand tools.
  • Basic fabrication capabilities, and fundamental hydraulic, pneumatic, welding, and plumbing knowledge and experience.
  • Knowledge of vacuum systems, motion control systems, and HVAC systems.
  • Must possess at least basic computer knowledge.
  • Certified ability to operate/drive a forklift (a.k.a. industrial lift truck).
  • Ability to create and review machine drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining and repairing industrial equipment to ensure continuous operation and compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Perform and oversee routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues, identify root causes of failures, and implement effective solutions to restore functionality quickly and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively and work closely with Head and/or Lead Mechanics and other maintenance professionals to align maintenance and repair efforts with production goals or facility-specific needs.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, verifying compliance with applicable standards.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance maintenance procedures, recommend upgrades or adjustments to equipment, and contribute to overall operational efficiency.
  • Qualify as a journey-level Mechanic – Class C (MV).
  • Under the direction of a Head Mechanic or Lead Mechanic, may perform a specific maintenance function as assigned within an overall facility, or within a designated operational department. Specific examples of Mechanic – Class B focused responsibilities may include: Automotive, Boiler or Steam Systems, General Machinery, Fabrication/Sheet Metal, Labeling and/or Casing, Plumbing and Piping, Refrigeration, Seamers and Fillers, Warehousing.
