About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic is primarily responsible for working with the Maintenance Department on building/grounds maintenance and installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting plant equipment while reducing daily downtime.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems
  • Experience with production and material handling equipment
  • Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and diagnostics (logic reading and analysis)
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Experience with conveyors, pumps, mixers, baggers, sealers, and related manufacturing equipment
  • Food manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment experience
  • Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and blueprints
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 55 pounds
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, install, repair, inspect, and maintain industrial machinery and facility equipment
  • Maintain and repair conveyor belts, baggers, pumps, mixers, sealers, scales, and metal detectors
  • Troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems including PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, HMIs, sensors, and electrical distribution systems
  • Perform mechanical troubleshooting and repair of conveyors, bearings, gear reducers, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, and maintenance documentation
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Support safety, housekeeping, quality, and environmental initiatives
  • Perform welding, fabrication, and other maintenance duties as assigned
