About The Position

FXI is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and machinery to support uninterrupted operations. The role calls for strong mechanical aptitude, a proactive approach to maintenance, and a commitment to safety and quality. The mechanic performs preventive maintenance, diagnoses and repairs equipment and systems, supports equipment installation and upgrades, documents maintenance work, and follows safety and housekeeping requirements.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field.
Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
Comfort working in environments with machinery noise, vibration, and potential exposure to chemicals.

Technical or vocational training.
Certifications in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime.
Diagnose mechanical issues and repair motors, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and other equipment.
Conduct inspections and tests to identify potential issues and address them before equipment failure.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and resolve issues efficiently.
Collaborate with production staff to address equipment malfunctions and optimize performance.
Install new equipment and systems, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
Assist in planning and carrying out equipment upgrades or modifications.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and recommendations for future action.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Follow workplace safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized work environment and store tools and equipment properly.
