About The Position

We are looking for a reliable Maintenance Mechanic to help keep facilities running at their best and protect and enhance the center’s value. The role includes hands-on structural repairs and preventative maintenance that support daily operations, customer satisfaction, and profitability. The mechanic will perform interior and exterior repairs; maintain facility HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems; assist customers on-site; communicate equipment condition to a supervisor; and assist with external contractors during specialized repairs.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in general building maintenance or an equivalent trade background.
• Solid basic plumbing skills.
• Comfort handling routine HVAC preventative maintenance.
• A proactive mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

• BOCES training or similar training in general HVAC or maintenance is highly preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior repairs, including drywall installation, painting, flooring, masonry patching, roofing, parking decks, and structural touch-ups.
• Maintain facility HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, including sprinklers and extinguishers, to help prevent downtime.
• Provide friendly assistance to customers on-site.
• Communicate clearly with the supervisor regarding equipment health.
• Assist and coordinate with external contractors during specialized repairs.
