About The Position
Saint Michael's Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their award-winning team. This role is crucial for maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring the proper functioning of hospital equipment. The hospital, established in 1867, is a 358-bed regional tertiary-care, teaching, and research center known for its advanced technology and compassionate care. It has a rich history of medical firsts in New Jersey, including open-heart surgery and cardiac catheterization programs, and is home to the Heart and Vascular Institute.
Requirements
- Able to troubleshoot, read schematics, and/or blue prints.
- Valid current state driver's license.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 0-1 years healthcare experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate logs on all equipment in hospital.
- Provides for a safe working environment.
- Maintains and repairs equipment including, but not limited to, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant maintenance, and medical gas systems.
- Driving as needed for company business.
