About The Position

The Maintenance Mechanic works in a warehouse environment to keep equipment and machinery operating properly. The role involves troubleshooting and repairing equipment and systems, performing preventive maintenance, and responding to maintenance requests. The mechanic works collaboratively with team members to improve equipment performance and maintenance processes while following safety regulations and company policies. The position is on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with mandatory overtime as needed. The work takes place at Indy North, 5550 W. 74th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46268, in a non-climate-controlled environment. Pay ranges from $24.50 to $27.00 per hour depending on prior experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including conveyor systems and components, Shanklin wrappers, and pallet stretch wrappers.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, stoop, bend, and twist throughout an 8- to 10-hour shift.
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
