Repair and maintain residential and commercial buildings and their components and equipment. This role involves a variety of tasks including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and appliance repair to meet and exceed established standards. The mechanic will conduct corrective service and repair/restoration works, perform daily technical inspection rounds, and carry out inspections of public areas. They will use various hand and power tools, maintain records, and respond promptly to emergency calls. The position also assists in HVAC unit repair, remodeling, construction projects, and pool/spa maintenance. The mechanic is responsible for diagnosing mechanical problems, developing solutions, and managing inventory. They will collaborate with Operations Managers and communicate task status clearly. A strong technical understanding of various building systems is required, along with excellent time management and the ability to work independently. Adherence to OSHA guidelines and safe operation of vehicles are also key responsibilities. The role requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to learn and adapt to new methods and systems. Flexibility in work schedule, including overnights, weekends, and additional hours, is necessary.
