About The Position

This full-time, direct-hire position is located in Chicago, Illinois, and is represented as a union role. The internal job title is Team Lead Line Technician. The role maintains and repairs packaging, conveyor, and processing equipment, performs preventative and corrective maintenance to reduce downtime, troubleshoots mechanical and related systems, and guides a team of technical operators. The listed shift is 3rd shift, Monday through Friday, 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. The base pay rate is $41.13 per hour, with an additional $0.45 shift differential for the 3rd shift assignment and a $2.00 shift premium. Pay is weekly. A potential increase in pay grade may be available following assessment of welding, machining, or electrical skills. The position includes a full benefits package and company-provided uniforms and PPE. Employment is subject to verification of screening tests, which may include drug screening, a pre-employment physical, and background checks.

Requirements

High school education or GED equivalent.
Prior experience in a related area.

Responsibilities

Repair and maintain packaging equipment, conveyor systems, and processing equipment.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance work orders independently or as part of a team to reduce downtime.
