The Maintenance Mechanic (Production) will adjust, repair, and maintain assigned equipment, ensuring production and quality standards are met. This role also involves modifying or producing new equipment as directed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
Possesses a degree or certificate from a technical school or equivalent work experience.
Understanding and use of standard hand and machine shop tools required.
Must have passed yearly forklift certification testing.

Nice To Haves

Preferred minimum of three (3) years experience as Maintenance Mechanic in a Manufacturing environment, preferably in Aerospace or Plastic Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans for and takes corrective action.
Makes necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
Reviews production schedule and performs scheduled maintenance when equipment is not scheduled for manufacturing.
Supervises equipment running after repairs, changeovers, or extended maintenance to ensure proper production and quality levels.
Performs preventive maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment, reports findings, and takes appropriate action.
Notifies supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions, corrective actions taken, quality problems, or supplies needed.
Performs repair, rebuilding, or overhaul work on manufacturing or service equipment using blueprints, company manufacturing manuals, or written/verbal instructions.
Makes repair parts if not commercially available or in stock.
Plans setup and operates machine shop machine tools to produce parts to tolerances and company specifications.
Uses standard hand and machine shop tools.
Sets up and tests production equipment under power, identifying and correcting mechanical difficulties.
May operate equipment during relief periods.
Notifies supervisor or manager of any potential safety hazards.
Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
