The Maintenance Mechanic will adjust, repair, and maintain assigned equipment, ensuring production and quality standards are met. This role also involves modifying or producing new equipment as directed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
Degree or certificate from a technical school or equivalent work experience.
Understanding and use of standard hand and machine shop tools required.
Must have passed yearly forklift certification testing.

Nice To Haves

Preferred minimum of three (3) years experience as Maintenance Mechanic in a Manufacturing environment, preferably in Aerospace or Plastic Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and take corrective action.
Make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment when it is not scheduled for manufacturing.
Supervise equipment running after repairs, changeovers, or extended maintenance to ensure proper production and quality levels.
Perform preventive maintenance checks and inspections on assigned equipment, report findings, and take appropriate action.
Notify supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions, corrective actions taken, quality problems, or supplies needed.
Perform repair, rebuilding, or overhaul work on manufacturing or service equipment using blueprints, company manuals, or instructions.
Make repair parts if not commercially available or in stock.
Plan setup and operate machine shop machine tools to produce parts to tolerances and company specifications.
Use standard hand and machine shop tools.
Set up and test production equipment under power, identifying and correcting mechanical difficulties.
Operate equipment during relief periods.
Produce prepreg material with special training.
Notify supervisor or manager of any potential safety hazards.
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
