About The Position

Medxcel is hiring a full-time Maintenance Mechanic I for the Facilities department at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. The role works the second shift and performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment in assigned facilities. Work may include complex assignments involving multiple systems or coordination across departments. The position requires specialized knowledge of locksmith, HVAC, motors, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Requirements

• Meet at least one of the following: graduate of a trade school; two years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant education or experience.
• Specialized knowledge and expertise in locksmith, HVAC, motors, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment for assigned facilities.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical systems and equipment.
• Complete complex assignments involving multiple systems or cross-departmental interaction as needed.
• Repair heating, lighting, cooling, plumbing, and ventilation systems and equipment.
• Install and maintain motors and specialized equipment.
