Job Summary Install, inspect, service, repair swing doors and automatic door mechanisms in accordance with the manufacture’s, state/local and federal codes and guidelines. Must also have general commercial maintenance and low voltage experience. This is a first shift 7am to 3:30pm M-F schedule.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of related experience as a door technician.
  • Commercial maintenance and low voltage experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow up on maintenance tasks
  • Driver's license and clean driving record required
  • Excellent communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Fire door installation/repair certification preferred.
  • Experience with computerized work order systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, install, repair rated door assemblies.
  • Adjust doors to open or close with the correct amount of effort
  • Make simple adjustments to electric openers
  • Test mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning
  • Order materials, supplies or equipment
  • Repair or replace worn, damaged or defective mechanical parts
  • Install hardware or other interior/exterior fixtures
  • Assemble structural components
  • Position equipment using hand tools, power tools or heavy equipment
  • Move large objects using heavy equipment
  • Remove parts or components from equipment
  • Run wiring to connect equipment
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications or diagrams to inform installation, development or operation activities
  • Assemble electrical components, subsystems, or equipment
  • Maintains logs, performs rounds and completes maintenance work orders, tests and inspections.
