The Maintenance Manager oversees the daily operations of the maintenance department, ensuring the proper functioning of warehouse equipment such as material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, electrical systems, air compressors, ammonia refrigeration equipment, and general building repairs. This role is responsible for monitoring and driving department performance, ensuring associate compliance with state and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, Hazardous Waste, NFPA, Storm Water, DOT) related to maintenance operations. The position also involves managing assigned financial aspects, including tracking expenses and capital expenditures against budget, monitoring asset utilization, and preparing/analyzing business reports. A key part of the role is supervising and managing associates and leaders, providing direction, monitoring performance, offering feedback, identifying training needs, and fostering a culture of belonging and development. The manager is expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance, acting in a selfless, humble, self-aware, honest, fair, and transparent manner, while also driving continuous improvement, adopting new technologies, and supporting change.
