About The Position
AJM Packaging Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance practices at its high-speed, high-volume manufacturing facilities in Joplin, Missouri. The role involves leading a maintenance department to maximize production machinery uptime and production throughput, while maintaining production quality. The manager plans and oversees equipment repair, maintenance, and installation; develops and manages preventive maintenance; troubleshoots production machinery; monitors maintenance-supply inventory; and provides staff oversight and training.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent education and work experience.
- Eight or more years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Three years in a maintenance leadership role.
- Strong electrical and mechanical skills, including three-phase electrical, servo motors, PLC programming, pneumatics, hydraulics, machining, and welding.

Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, supervise, and directly participate in repair, maintenance, and installation activities for mechanical equipment and production machinery.
- Organize and manage the department and staff to maximize production machinery uptime and production throughput in quantity and quality.
- Develop and manage a preventive maintenance program.
- Troubleshoot production machinery and related equipment.
- Track inventory levels of maintenance supplies.
- Provide ongoing oversight and training of staff.
