About The Position

Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance and facility support activities at our Willoughby, OH facility. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for supporting safety, quality, operational performance, customer experience, and long-term profitability. The role involves overseeing maintenance activities while partnering closely with Production and site leadership to improve equipment performance, manage costs, strengthen preventive and predictive maintenance practices, and build a high-performing maintenance organization. This position is for a hands-on maintenance leader who enjoys developing teams, improving equipment reliability, and solving complex manufacturing challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance management experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of overall work experience in a related field
  • Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance systems
  • Strong troubleshooting capabilities
  • Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Experience leading and developing employees within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong judgment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to effectively balance maintenance priorities, production needs, and cost considerations

Responsibilities

  • Lead, direct, and coordinate assigned maintenance and facility support activities
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to the maintenance team
  • Partner with management and Production to evaluate the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of projects, equipment, and repairs
  • Communicate developments that could affect production schedules, equipment availability, or costs
  • Help ensure maintenance resources are effectively aligned with operational priorities
  • Support the diagnosis and resolution of machinery and equipment malfunctions
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance when troubleshooting complex equipment issues
  • Direct activities involving the dismantling, assembly, installation, and repair of industrial machinery
  • Recommend improvements to production methods and equipment performance
  • Identify changes to equipment and working conditions that can improve efficiency
  • Apply preventive and predictive maintenance practices to strengthen equipment reliability and reduce operational disruptions
  • Develop employees and strengthen the technical capabilities of the maintenance organization
  • Support staffing and workforce planning needs
  • Coach employees through troubleshooting and work-related challenges
  • Motivate team members to achieve performance and operational goals
