About The Position

The CNC Machinist I operates and maintains machining equipment to produce precision parts according to blueprints and work orders. The role includes inspecting parts, recording production data in ERP systems, and meeting quality and safety standards while maintaining a clean, organized workspace. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent.
Experience using ERP software and proficiency with ERP systems for data entry and job tracking.
Training in reading micrometers and calipers.
Training in minor control operations.
Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.

Responsibilities

Use ERP data-collection software to log time.
Read work orders, flow sheets, and part drawings to determine the manufacturing requirements for each job.
Check blueprint dimensions using manual inspection equipment.
Submit first-article and final inspections to Quality Assurance to verify dimensions, including dimensions that cannot be checked manually.
Run all parts required for the order.
Perform in-process inspections during production.
Keep the work area and machine clean and practice 5S principles.
Perform daily and monthly machine preventive maintenance.
Communicate with the supervisor to ensure successful completion of the production job.
Complete other tasks as directed.
