About The Position

The Atlantic Oceanside Hotel and Event Center is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Manager to lead their Facilities team. This is a full-time, year-round role where the manager will oversee the maintenance and overall condition of the oceanfront property, ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for guests and team members. Responsibilities include managing daily operations, responding to repairs, and leading, coaching, and developing the team. The role involves working closely with the Facilities Director and other departments to drive efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement. The maintenance team also supports the adjacent Bayview Hotel, ensuring consistent upkeep across both properties.

Requirements

  • Previous maintenance leadership experience in hospitality or a similar environment
  • Strong knowledge of building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable with hands-on work and supporting the team as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 65 lbs and perform physical tasks in various environments
  • CPO certification or willingness to obtain
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and a team-first mindset

Responsibilities

  • Lead, schedule, and support the maintenance team, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards
  • Oversee daily maintenance operations, including guest requests, repairs, and preventative maintenance programs
  • Diagnose and resolve issues across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building systems
  • Maintain property standards across guest rooms, public spaces, and grounds
  • Manage inventory, tools, and supplies to ensure readiness and efficiency
  • Partner with leadership on hiring, training, coaching, and performance management
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and support larger repair projects and property improvements
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless and exceptional guest experience
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to urgent maintenance needs as required
