About The Position

Parrish & Heimbecker (P&H) is seeking a motivated, forward-thinking, and dedicated Maintenance Manager for its Milling division in Springbrook, AB. P&H Milling is the largest Canadian-owned milling company, producing a variety of flour and cereal products from wheat sourced across Canada. With mills in multiple provinces and international distribution, P&H Milling serves customers in Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Iceland, and Pacific Rim countries. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Applied Science Technologist (AScT), Journeyman/Red Seal trades certification as Millwright or Electrician.
  • Supervisory experience leading a small team.
  • Working knowledge with any CMMS software.
  • Ability to read, follow and understand electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic drawings, blueprints, schematics, code requirements, service manuals and manufacturers' specifications.
  • Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in project management would be an asset.
  • Familiar with BRCGS (food safety) protocols.
  • Experience working with organized labour.
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Control (PLC) and troubleshooting, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction and leadership through effective coaching and mentoring.
  • Maintain an effective Preventive Maintenance (PM) program.
  • Maintain transparent and effective communication with Production, QA, OH&S teams.
  • Plan and oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery, including plant equipment, piping systems, pneumatic systems, and facility structure/services.
  • Provide recommendations and suggestions to address plant and equipment deficiencies or for continuous improvement through root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Assist in managing and controlling maintenance costs and budget.
  • Maintain documents and records in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Manage equipment inventory and procurement of parts.
  • Assist in the installation of Capital projects, including research, cost estimates, sourcing of contractors, and project timelines.
