About The Position

ERCO Worldwide is looking for a Maintenance Manager to join their Valdosta team. This role is for a hardworking, safety-minded individual who will report to the Plant Manager. The Maintenance Manager will set the direction and oversee all plant maintenance activities, from strategy development through implementation, execution, and evaluation, ensuring alignment with corporate strategic direction and established systems. The role requires a balance of general management capabilities and the willingness to be hands-on with operations, applying specialty/technical skills as needed. The Maintenance Manager will also support the Plant Manager in communications with regulatory bodies, suppliers, and contractors.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of experience in Plant Operations and Maintenance Management, Budgeting/Cost Management, and Safety and Environmental Leadership
  • Strong analytical skills (process, equipment, technical data, incident/process investigation)
  • Related experience in vendor/contractor negotiations is an asset
  • Occasional travel as the role requires
  • Safety-oriented
  • Ability to work outdoors, stand for shift, lift & climb stairs
  • Must pass pre-hire physical & drug screen

  • College Degree is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and report efficiency opportunities (e.g., losses, reliability, cost, and spare parts inventory) and implement solutions to optimize equipment and maintenance costs while minimizing downtime.
  • Make or actively support critical decisions impacting the local site, including team performance, maintenance and capital planning, production outage planning, and costing/budgeting.
  • Monitor relevant regulations to ensure compliance in areas such as ethical practices, employee and process safety, contractor safety, and environmental standards.
  • Develop and implement key people initiatives, including training, talent development, skills planning, organization design, hiring/on-boarding, and succession management.
  • Review key measures regularly to ensure production and quality expectations are met.
