About The Position
GFL Environmental is looking for a Maintenance Manager II to take the helm at our Wilson, North Carolina branch. This role is crucial for maintaining a fleet that powers the community and ensuring operational success. The Maintenance Manager is the backbone of our operational success, not just fixing trucks, but leading a team and ensuring the safety and efficiency of the fleet.
Requirements
- Prior supervisory experience in a shop or maintenance setting.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Ability to obtain a Certified Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 6 months.
- DOT certification for air brake inspection.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to handle the physical demands of a bustling shop environment.
- Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a dedicated team of technicians.
- Manage preventative maintenance programs and major overhauls to ensure the fleet is safe and efficient.
- Utilize industry-leading tools (like TMW, I-Pak, and JDEdwards) to track expenses and manage inventory.
- Lead safety meetings and ensure the shop is compliant and clean.
- Ensure the safety of drivers and contribute to the cleanliness of the Wilson community.
