About The Position

Palermo's is seeking a Maintenance Line Technician for their facility in Jefferson, WI. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of production lines, troubleshooting equipment issues, and performing maintenance to minimize downtime. The company prides itself on innovation, quality, and a family-oriented approach, with a history tracing back to Sicily. The facility operates across multiple shifts to produce private label frozen pizzas and contract manufacturing. The work environment is fast-paced, team-oriented, and may involve cooler to ambient temperatures, moderate to loud noise levels, and regular physical activity.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of mechanical or maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and drive systems.
• Moderate proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
• Ability to read and interpret machine prints, technical manuals, and maintenance instructions.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and work in varying temperatures (freezer to hot environments).
• Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with packaging or pizza topping machinery preferred.
• Mechanical or maintenance-related certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust production line equipment to keep operations running smoothly.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose machine malfunctions and equipment issues.
• Partner with Maintenance Technicians to perform repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Assist in training and evaluating operators on proper machine setup and adjustments.
• Maintain documentation, maintenance logs, and performance metrics for equipment.
• Follow safety and food safety standards while performing all duties.
• Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance line performance and minimize downtime.
